Eye Health Exams
Our offices in the Raleigh-Durham area provide medical eye health exams for eye infections, injuries, cataracts, glaucoma, as well as eye complications from systemic eye problems such as diabetes and high-blood pressure.
If you have any of these eye problems, you will require special attention to your eye care. We can effectively manage these conditions and prescribe the appropriate medications or, when necessary, arrange for a consultation with a surgeon. Our doctors will make a referral to the appropriate specialist eye doctor to assure that your eyes receive the degree of care they require. Records of all special testing as well as photos will be sent to the specialist eye doctor to maximize the continuity of your care.
General Eye Health Exams
General eye health exams, also known as routine eye exams, are performed in our Brier Creek location. During this exam, we do much more than simply determine your prescription for glasses. A variety of tests are performed to assess your vision and ability to focus, as well as detect any early signs of eye diseases, many of which are asymptomatic.
An eye test is an important part of health maintenance for everyone. Adults should have an eye test yearly to keep their prescriptions current and if the need arises for a consultation with another doctor, we can easily facilitate the transition.
For those who have not worn contacts before, we will devote time to train you on the proper way to handle and care for your contacts and avoid eye problems related to improper care.
Contact Lens Eye Exams
Contact lens exams, for people currently wearing contact lenses, or considering contacts, are performed in our Brier Creek location. Similar to our general eye health exams, we determine your prescription, and check the overall health of your eyes, in addition to ensuring a proper contact lens fit.
For those who have not worn contacts before, we will devote time to train you on the proper way to handle and care for your contacts and avoid eye problems related to improper care.
